Tom Stogdon was born into the fourth generation of a family of Covent Garden greengrocers and his first sculptural efforts were making life-size figures from fruit and vegetables.He enjoys challenging traditional perceptions of the use of materials.

Tom trained in stone carving and letter cutting in the evenings and is intrigued by shape, space, texture and movement.He works in metal, stone, wood, leaves and other organic material.
