Jacquiline Antonier Creswell Print E-mail

Jacquiline Antonier Creswell studied Fine Art and Graphic Design in South Africa.  Through her work, which is mainly figurative, she explores the human condition, folding two dimensions to achieve three-dimensional forms.  Jacquiline casts her work in bronze and enjoys the contrast between the delicate ribbon-like structure of the original and the weight and strength of the eventual sculpture.  Her forms integrate with their outdoor settings, allowing glimpses of the gardens in which they are located.

In June 2007 Jacquiline was given the President's Award for the best work in the Society of Women Artists Annual Show at the Mall Galleries in London.  She has recently begun to study stone carving, enabling her to experiment with other forms and develop her manual skills and creative thought processes.
