Philip Simmonds' large, coiled sculptural pots are "inspired by architectural and garden styles, and celebrate the magnificent colour palette of changeable English weather".  Philip also takes inspiration from the work of early African potters.  He studied Ceramics at Loughborough College of Art and Design, and taught in secondary schools for several years before establishing his own pottery.  His work is represented in numerous private collections worldwide.
