Zoe de L'Isle Whittier was born in France, educated in America, and studied Printmaking, Painting and Sculpture at Beaux Arts de Grenoble in France.  She lives and works near the marble quarries at Pietrasanta in Italy.  She has been artist-in-residence at venues in France, Italy and America, and carved a stone sculpture on site at the Grizedale Forest Sculpture Trail in Cumbria.  She has participated in Sculpture Symposia in Norway, France, Italy, Israel and China.  Zoe has been commissioned to make sculpture for public places in France; her work is represented in many international collections and exhibitions.
