THE GARDEN GALLERY exhibits sculpture, ceramics, glass and furniture for gardens, by contemporary artists.  The Gallery represents about 70 artists, both well-established, and those who are embarking on their careers. Proprietor, Rachel Bebb, a Garden Designer, promotes the wealth of living, artistic talent creating works of art for gardens which she believes deserves greater recognition and support.  Many of the Gallery's artists also work on a large scale for public places.

Whether starting from scratch or redesigning a garden, people are devoting greater attention to the treatment of their outdoor rooms.  Those with a discerning eye enjoy enhancing their gardens with pieces created by an artist, rather than a machine.  Sculpture, a bench, or even the simplest pot have a life and a meaning which cannot be imbued by any manufacturing process.  A lasting relationship can be established with a work of art, as with a garden, which will grow and give pleasure for many years.

The elemental nature of stone, clay, bronze, glass and wood creates an empathy with plants and trees, land forms, water and light – each can help to enhance the other.   Works of art at THE GARDEN GALLERY  are displayed in the lovely garden divided into ‘rooms’, including areas of lawn with trees, shrubs and old roses, gravel garden, orchard and formal pool.  This enables customers more easily to visualise them in their own gardens.
